You’re a real, actual person. That’s why I act.

And we humans, we need to grin sometimes. And face uncomfortable possibilities, even if the possibilities are more wonderful than we’ve let ourselves believe. This is part of being real and actual.

Hi, I’m
Julie K. Rhodes

I’m an actor in theater and film (SAG-AFTRA-eligible and Equity-eligible) and write nonfiction articles and books. I live in Fort Worth, TX with horses and cows and cheese enchiladas and my husband Gordon and my teenagers Drew and Maddie and my ridiculous pug Eloise, aka “The Eyeballs.”

I love gritty roles (like Chekov’s Masha), but I will always have a soft spot for the big color and music of children’s theater. If I could oscillate between serio-comic film roles and historic parts in stage adaptations of great literature, this would be my own personal heaven.

Endorsements:

"The performances are strong, with Rhodes and Stubblefield notable in their complexity."

- Mark Lowry, Star-Telegram

Rhodes does a great job with some of the toughest emotional moments in the show.

- Jan Farrington, Theater Jones

"Rhodes plays her role with perpetually sad eyes and an appropriately tepid, reserved demeanor."

- Punch Shaw, Fort Worth Star Telegram

I get it. You need the deets. Here they are:
